The Challenge
The client used a MS Access database in multi-user mode to manage the dataflow of its day-to-day investigative operations. The client’s growth in the repo industry resulted in data that is too large to efficiently maintain in the Access database.
The original database was not equipped to handle complicated synchronization of data, which caused users to overwrite each other’s data and often resulted in an increased workload.
The Solution
We designed a web application supported by an efficient database schema design to facilitate better functionality and stability for a multi-user environment.
The web application manages day-to-day employee tasks, making it easy to keep track of investigators and repossession agents and to which cases they are assigned. The application eliminates the possibility of redundant data and data overwrites.
Detailed SSRS Reports are also provided on the backend for managers and administrators to view the current status of the company’s cases.
The Benefits
The client is now able to concentrate on their business rather than spending time locating and fixing redundant data or data overwrites. GIS employees can now coordinate between their clients, investigators, and repossession agents to quickly and successfully meet their business goals.
