| Description: |
The client had business data in a retired SQL Server 6.5 application that was no longer supported (8GBs worth!). The replacement product is a web based application provided by a third party. They needed tools which allowed them to query and report on data across both sources. First we upgraded the legacy retired database through SQL 2005, then we build a database which could be used to store imported XML data which the 3rd party generates on a monthly basis. Throw on top a winforms based search engine and report generation tool, then , test, deploy, and voila! |
